I am Kelsey Brennan and I currently a lead a small design team at Planet. I love implementing processes to get cross-functional teams working together — happily! I like big, unsolvable problems and seeing teams succeed, especially as they negotiate tricky situations. This is my resume.

As for me, I’m interested in broad-ranging topics such as transportation, construction, sustainable energy, AI, machine learning — really most hard problems that require a set of teeth to sink into. Outside of work I like to get outside, ride horses, dive, surf and explore personal interests outside of design.

I hold a Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley with a DE in New Media; some time before that I went to Reed College. Prior to transitioning to design I was involved in marketing and product development for several San Francisco startups, including one of the first apps to launch on the Google Hangouts API. My design research has been presented at the AGU (American Geophysical Union), ACADIA (Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture), SPUR, Maker Fayre and UC Berkeley. My work has been published in Paradigms in Computing: Making, Machines, and Models for Design Agency in Architecture as well as the Traditional Dwellings and Settlements Review.
